Our work at this site began in 2008, where Pleydell Smithyman compiled restoration options for a potential quarry development with a focus on waterbodies and nature conservation. Discussions moved on to consider leisure-based restoration schemes with the development of strategic plans and lodge/cabin proposals based on the landowner’s long term aspirations. Our holistic approach considers the site characteristics and the available soils in a materials audit. Using these parameters Pleydell Smithyman can design the most efficient use of on-site material / resources to create a more useable landscape with long term development potential.
