Pleydell Smithyman completed a thoughtful and comprehensive analysis of the site and its surroundings. This process formed the start of the development strategy which assessed the various types of development that may be appropriate. Two innovative design solutions were put forward which balanced sustainability and long-term financial viability. The designs focused on providing new recreational infrastructure as well as creating an opportunity to include private areas of bespoke holiday homes and housing alongside a restored landscape of publicly accessible fishing lakes and countryside walks for residents and the public to use.
