NORTHCOT BRICK LTD

LOADERS BARN

PSL completed an application with the supporting plans, models, ecology and landscape assessments for the extraction of clay from land at Loaders Barn, Gloucestershire. The clay would be used by Northcot Brick for the production of high quality bricks at their adjacent works. Restoration of the site will be undertaken concurrently with extraction operations, with the site restored to a mix of agricultural fields and meadow grassland with woodland blocks, water features and hedgerows. Public access will be provided through the restored site to link with the existing access network. Our work provided a link between specialist quarry designers and geologists, the client and County planners to provide a scheme which is accessible to everyone, yet still focused on the client’s business aspirations within a framework of the local planning system.
