GLAN LYN

Pleydell Smithyman Limited are part of a large multidisciplinary team commissioned since 2011 by Revantage (formerly St. Modwen Developments) to provide landscape infrastructure design within the Glan Llyn regeneration scheme, a planned development to provide a new neighbourhood with approximately 4,000 dwellings & includes a new local centre, business park, schools, large areas of new parks and lakes, reenside walkways and greenways, cycle routes and play areas.

Our work includes the creation of woodland mitigation for dormice, water vole habitats, a new park, play areas, surface open water network including the extensive reen network and lakes (SuDS), landscape corridors, the external areas for 2 new schools, sports provision, new local centre and industrial estate.

So far, our involvement has been from the planning process, through to the landscape design, implementation & maintenance works across the site & includes LVIA work.

The brownfield site won the Best Biodiversity Enhancement on a Brownfield Project in 2022.
