CREMORNE PARK

Working in conjunction with a local landscape contractor DW Shotton, Pleydell Smithyman were commissioned by Shropshire Council to design, install and contract administer a bespoke play area to provide the local community and visitors to Ellesmere. Creating an area to be proud of that challenges, excites and offers risks in a safe environment whilst reflecting the location close to the Mere. Based on the results of local consultation and designed around the theme of water, the play area includes natural and sensory play elements, bespoke commissioned mosaic sculpture based on local children's designs, a revamped rowing boat sunk into a sand pit, traditional play equipment, revamped BMX track and shelter, and wildflower areas.
