POULTRY UNITS

Pleydell Smithyman supported a successful application for the development of a series of poultry sheds. Our role started by providing a Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment with supporting plans, illustrative elevations, the Zone of Theoretical Visibility and surrounding designations. Pleydell Smithyman were commissioned again when an extension to the shed was proposed by the landowner. Plans were supplied of mitigation measures to better screen the shed and site components. These measures included planting and screening bunds where species mixes and specifications were detailed. The PSL approach to provide robust assessment, visualisation and design solutions, enabled the sheds to be most effectively integrated within the surrounding landform.
