Project: Cremorne Gardens

Client: Shropshire Council

During the past two years, Pleydell Smithyman Limited were commissioned by Shropshire Council to design and create new playspaces using the philosophy of natural and intuitive play.

We have worked with various communities and stakeholders to realise the aspirations of Play England’s Design for Play Guidance and created successful play spaces for fun and interaction.

At Cremorne Gardens our brief and design brought together a range of requirements from public art features to a new 'off road' cycle track. The new play space has recently opened and has been well received by all. Representatives of the Parent and Carer Council were really impressed and in their July 2011 newsletter stated that "there is a good selection of equipment in the park, many of which are suitable for young people who are physically less able."
