It's an exciting time for parks, open spaces and
play areas across Huntingdonshire. The
District Council is developing a strategy to shape and secure the future of
these valuable spaces and support positive change for the benefit of
Huntingdonshire's people and places. The
strategy will have a particular focus on the role the outdoors can play in
improving the health and well-being of people of all ages.
Parks, open spaces and play areas
are places for children and young people to enjoy and we want to hear what they
think, so we're asking the students and staff of local schools, to get involved
and influence the strategy.
This process is a unique opportunity for your
school to shape the future of Huntingdonshire District's parks, open spaces and
play areas. The level of your school's
involvement can be tailor-made to your needs and can range from encouraging
your pupils and parents to complete online questionnaires about their current
use of parks and play spaces, to sessions with groups of students based around understanding
their ideas for the future or meetings with staff.
